Roundup

1. When I sought to compare Caroline Lockhart to a contemporary figure, it was Molly Ivins. Not for their politics, which differed considerably, but for courage, principles, and most of all humor. With sadness and appreciation, I've read several Ivins tributes, and have found this the best.

2. I've written before about my skepticism about how long the small-town telecommuting boom will last. Here's an economist nicely summarizing the issue.

3. I noted previously that Lockhart's "Me-Smith" was about to be proofread as an e-book. I'm delighted to see that someone has picked it up, as well as "The Dude Wrangler" and "The Fighting Shepherdess," with "The Man from the Bitter Roots" next in line.

4. This blog will be quiet for a few weeks while I take a vacation. Meanwhile, if you need more on "The Cowboy Girl," you can download a pdf media kit here.
