e-Me-Smith
I’ve often been asked how many of Caroline Lockhart's novels are available to read. Well, here's a chance to read her widely-acclaimed debut -- and help literary volunteers while you’re doing it!
Project Gutenberg is a nonprofit that makes available free electronic versions of books. (They publish only older books, to avoid copyright infringement.) With 20,000 books available, they're planning on uploading Lockhart's 1911 bestseller "Me-Smith" soon.
But first it needs to be proofread. (Since Gutenberg scans the old texts, somebody needs to check against scanning errors.) If you're interested, here's where "Me-Smith" is listed; you can click on the Register button to get started proofing.
I'm always interested in feedback, via info at johnclaytonbooks dot com
