"Us Financiers" Magazine

For decades, Muskoka, a large lakeland area north of Toronto, has been host to celebrity industrialists and financiers. -The New York Times, 9/16/05

Chip and Muffy: Happier than Ever!
When Farnsworth J. "Chip" Farmington III manned an Excel spreadsheet electronically linked to his hot Wall Street brokerage on Sept. 7, his fiancée Muffy Wigglesworth got the party started by comparing portfolios with pals. "Chip and Muffy sat right next to each other," said an onlooker, "and they couldn't be cuter, eh."

Check On!
It's been four years since legendary law partners Andrews Lewis IV, C. Brewster Addison, Lyford Burroughs, and Forster Charles Hadley, jr., appeared together in court, but on Sept. 14, they reunited in Muskoka. The reason? To watch a Maple Leafs preseason game on CBC! "Looks like they need to skate more to the left," Hadley quipped to our on-the-scene reporter.

Celebrity Feuds of the Week!
Nathaniel Larrabee, founder of Larrabee Tool & Die, vs. corporate raider Phelan Gillespie. Last year Gillespie paid Larrabee $34 billion for LT&D, then promptly fired all the employees and turned the company into a online-porn mega-warehouse. The furious Larrabee says their contract specifically prohibited Gillspie from jet-skiing too close to Larrabee's favorite Muskoka fishing holes.
Our verdict: Gillespie! Money talks, Nate! Can't you use some of that $34 billion to buy some Mrs. Pauls?
