The quick comeback 

A waiter in a restaurant brought me in change, two bad silver pieces, 50 centimes or ten cents each. I did not protest, but gently pushed them out for him for his tip.

"Oh, that’s bad money; bad money!" he exclaimed. "I can’t pass that."

"It does look that way," I said.
